Turns out if you off road your truck you may be lucky enough to break some super important wires under your frame. Turns out the CANBUS wires controlling your PCM, ECM and Steering Rack go right under the front crossmember. Conveniently placed I know, it's not like a rock will ever hit it.... Turns out if you break a couple of those wires in addition to all the warning lights you lose the ability to turn off your truck.... Let that sink in... Though GM wasn't smart enough to protect these wires, they were however, gracious enough to make the harness just long enough we could move the wires out of harm's way. I took a giant 1600 mile road trip in my 2023 Canyon and just happened to have an extra hour to spare. So as any smart person would do, I took my "brand new truck" with over 1200lbs of core motors in the bed off road and subsequently into a 1/4 mile deep mineshaft.
